Obama asks Congress to remove Cuba from terror list.

1. In the 80’s, Cuba helped armed insurgencies in Latin America.
2. As a result, Cuba is on USA’s list of state sponsors of terrorism.
3. In Dec., Obama said he would normalize relations w/ Cuba.
4. He met with Raul Castro last Saturday in Panama.
5. Last week, the State Dept. said to remove them from the list.
6. In Obama’s message to Congress he said Cuba met criteria.
7. First, Cuba hasn’t supported terrorism in the last 6 months.
8. Second, Cuba has said they won’t support terror in the future.
