We all know it’s important to stay informed. But it’s hard to do that for many reasons–especially given the state of today’s news.
So instead of reporting the news in long articles, I teach the news in 10 lines, without the distraction of opinion.
Teaching the news means I value context over breaking news. Understanding why a story is happening, not just that it is happening, is crucial to developing an informed opinion.
We don’t pretend to replace the important work of long-form, investigative journalism. But there is simply so much news every day that it would require hours of reading to stay informed.
