2 gunmen attempt attack on anti-Muslim event in Texas.

1. American Freedom Defense Initiative is an anti-Muslim group.
2. Last week, they held a contest to draw the Prophet Muhammad.
3. Creating an image of Muhammad is very offensive to Muslims.
4. Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi intended to attack the event.
5. They drove from Arizona to Texas with body armor and rifles.
6. The event had heavy security. The 2 men didn’t make it inside.
7. Both were killed by police outside. 1 officer shot in the ankle.
8. ISIS has claimed responsibility but likely didn’t orchestrate it.
9. But Simpson was in contact with an ISIS hacker via Twitter.
