Former Egyptian president was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

  1. Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak was in power since 1981.
  2. He was ousted during the Arab Spring riots in 2011.
  3. Mohamed Morsi became Egypt’s 1st elected President in 2012.
  4. Riots started in 2013 after he gave himself unlimited power.
  5. Protesters were killed by Morsi’s soldiers.
  6. Morsi was put on trial and cleared of murder charges.
  7. But today he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for torture.
