  1. Over 4 million Syrian refugees have left their home because of ongoing civil war and sectarian violence.The 2011 Arab Spring saw riots & protests erupt in Middle East.
  2. In Syria, protests exploded against President Bashar al-Assad.
  3. Syrian government forces responded with brutal violence.
  4. The protests eventually turned into outright civil war.
  5. Chemical weapons have been used repeatedly during the war.
  6. Estimates in April 2015 put the death toll at 300,000+
  7. The war is ongoing & over 4 million Syrians left their country.
  8. Another 7.6 million inside Syria are displaced from their home.
  9. Which means that over 50% of Syria’s population has left home.
  10. The UN says this is the largest refugee population in 25 years.
