Burger King to merge with Canadian Tim Hortons

Burger King and Tim Hortons restaurants will merge.

  1. Canada has a lower corporate tax rate than the US.
  2. Burger King is based in Miami, Florida.
  3. Tim Hortons is based in Canada.
  4. An “inversion” allows BK to technically be located in Canada.
  5. BK will enjoy lower taxes while still operating in the US.
  6. BK and Hortons will continue be a standalone brands.
  7. BK/Hortons will become the 3rd largest fast food chain.
